BC Soccer

They needed a training course developed that could bring broad sport business management expertise education to the coaching and technical leadership in their member clubs/associations. The ultimate objective was to help these soccer leaders develop the knowledge and skills they needed to become leaders in the Boardroom, as well as on field!

So BC Soccer developed a comprehensive two-day Technical Directors Diploma course that was run in 2017 and 2019. We were delighted to help by developing and delivering three quarters of the course content, covering topics on understanding the Technical Director role, Boardroom management, planning & policies, finance & risk and revenue development. Over 100 British Columbian soccer leaders have taken the course between 2017 and 2019, helping them become stronger, more well-rounded sport leaders.

“Capitis Consulting delivered compelling course content on subject matters that are difficult to engage soccer people in. Technical people and coaches don’t normally get excited about bylaws and financial statements. However, Capitis Consulting’s presentation style, clear understanding of the soccer system and what soccer people go through every day led to great engagement with the attendees. The feedback we received on the course in 2017 was overwhelming positive, leading us to host another one in 2019. In both cases, we are very pleased we involved Capitis Consulting and would do so again in the future.”
